BRET E. GINTHER, MD, ELECTED CHAIR OF MEDAMERICA MUTUAL

Walnut Creek, CA - An outstanding career with MedAmerica Mutual Risk Retention
Group, Inc. has culminated in the Board of Directors naming Bret E. Ginther M.D. as the
organization's new Chair of the Board and of the Governance Committee. He has been
a member of MedAmerica Mutual's Board of Directors since 2005.

Dr. Ginther, an emergency department physician, replaces Martin E. Ogle, MD, who
served two consecutive terms as Chair. Going forward, Dr. Ogle plans to remain an
active member of the Board and Governance Committee.

Dr. Ginther's involvement with the Mutual began in 2000 when he led the Difficult
Airway Management risk management initiative and later the Vascular Disasters
initiative. His subsequent leadership roles have included focused monographs, as well as
several presentations at many venues.

"I am honored to serve as Chair of the Board," said Dr. Ginther. "Working with Gloria
Everett, President & CEO and her outstanding management team, it is my intention to
capitalize on the outstanding work of my predecessors to relentlessly pursue excellence
in serving the owner-policyholders of our company."

Dr. Ginther is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. He received a BA in Psychology in
1985, a BS in Biological Sciences in 1990 from UC Irvine, and an MD
from Rush Medical College in Chicago. He returned to California to serve his residency
in Emergency Medicine at UC Irvine Medical Center staying on at UC Irvine as an
Assistant Clinical Professor and Assistant Residency Director for three years. In 2000,
Dr. Ginther left academic medicine to become a CEP partner.

Dr. Ginther's professional associations include the American Academy of Emergency
Medicine, the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Riverside County Medical
Society, and the California Medical Association. Dr. Ginther served as a CalACEP board
member until 2006.
