WALNUT CREEK, Calif., June 14, 2007 - MedAmerica Mutual RRG, Inc. a provider of medical
professional liability protection for over 2.3 million emergency medicine patient visits in California
and Arizona announced an upgraded A.M. Best financial strength rating of "A-" (Excellent).
According to A.M. Best, the rating recognizes MedAmerica Mutual RRG, Inc.'s good operating
profitability, supportive capitalization and strong emergency medicine specialty market focus.
MedAmerica Mutual maintains its core operational focus and benefits from its extensive
knowledge of the highly specialized emergency medicine market segment. The rating also
recognizes the Company's strict underwriting guidelines and high level of customer service,
including active emergency medicine risk management strategies and aggressive defense of nonmeritorious
claims.
"The upgrade reaffirms the Board's confidence in the senior management and leadership team to
move the Company to the next level. The Board also recognizes the value of our policyholders'

A.M. Best also noted, in a letter to the Mutual's President, that the rating reflects management's
demonstrated operating expertise within its niche market of emergency medicine liability
coverage and the expectation of continued operating profitability and maintenance of reserve
adequacy and supportive capitalization.
Gloria H. Everett, President & Chief Executive Officer, welcomed the news of A.M. Best's
upgrade. Ms. Everett stated, "The upgrade to an "A-" means the Mutual is receiving recognition
for delivering consistent positive financial results through disciplined underwriting and
implementation of effective risk management programs." Ms. Everett believes the Mutual is
