MedAmerica Mutual Selects Assistant Vice President, Underwriting & Policyholder Services from MedMal Industry
Kevin Cichurski To Be MedAmerica Mutual's Assistant Vice President, Underwriting & Policyholder Services, Oakland, Calif. (January 12, 2004)MedAmerica Mutual Risk Retention Group, Inc., specializing in professional liability medical malpractice insurance, announced today that Mr. Kevin Cichurski, formerly with The Doctors' Company, has joined MedAmerica Mutual as Assistant Vice President, Underwriting & Policyholder Services effective January 5, 2004. In this capacity, Kevin is responsible for managing the Mutual's underwriting activities and will work closely with Gloria H. Everett, Chief Executive Officer, on the underwriting of accounts and policyholder relations.

Mr. Cichurski's professional career has included oversight of the underwriting activities for the middle-market business units at The Doctors' Company; previous to that, he managed various lines of liability offerings to hospital accounts while at Program BETA. He is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society and is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
Mr. Cichurski earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rider University, New Jersey, and a Master of Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida.
